Migrant Milks

They are redrawing the social panorama of our campaigns. Many of them arrive from the Indian subcontinent and find work in the stalls of Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. In the last decade, the Po Valley has seen great migratory flows, and many of the new arrivals now work with dairy cows, often in highly-skilled roles. At Cheese we’ll try to give an overview of the situation starting with Piedmont: how many migrants are working in the sector? What is the real reason for this phenomenon?
