Sergi de Meiá, a Champion of Catalan Cooking – Sold out
Sergi di Meiá is a champion of contemporary Catalan cooking, as firmly rooted in tradition and attentive to technique as it is open to innovation. An ebullient chef, a first-rate president of the prestigious Istitut Catalá de la Cuina and a native of the inland Catalan region of Noguera, Sergi ran the kitchen of Monvìnic in Barcellona, renowned as one of the world’s finest wine restaurants, for six years before opening the place that now bears his name at the heart of the city’s Eixample neighborhood. Helped by his mother Adelaida, he serves personal takes on classic dishes with innovative touches, even offering diners an all-vegan tasting menu. At this dinner he’ll serve some of his most acclaimed dishes with the Triple A wines of Velier in Genoa.
